Introduction
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, also known as the Mormon Church, has had a complicated past with homosexuality, as has most religious organizations. However, over the past half century, amidst the ups and the downs, there have been steps towards improvement. Both sides of the conversation have worked to better understand one another. This progress is reflected in the Church's current website: Mormon and Gay. Many are grateful for how far the Church has come compared to where it was 50-60 years ago. Yet, there is still much more progress to be made and requires individuals to become more educated on LGBT issues and open their hearts to more understanding.
I've included a few thought provoking articles and videos from active, faithful members of the LDS faith to expand and push the mind of individuals on these topics. Some may not like or agree with what is said. That is fine. Only after we seriously discuss these issues and openly listen to both sides can we come together with a better understanding of one another:
